This is a very useful book for men. I relied heavily on this book for guidance in my Domestic Violence case. I had completely ignored my DV case and relied heavily on luck. And that was primarily due to lack of my knowledge and zero guidance from my lawyer. But this book taught me how to fight the case. It has some pretty advanced approaches to handle messed up scenarios.
This book also covers the emotional aspect, which men usually ignore and as it turns out, is the most important thing in the fight to save one's dignity and money.
I will recommend this book to each and every person out there trying to get the maintenance reduced. The effectiveness of the book becomes huge if one takes the maintenance cases seriously and puts in the effort from the start.

About the Author

Masoud Farzaneh, an internationally renowned expert in the field of power engineering, is a professor of Electrical Engineering at the Universite du Quebec a Chicoutimi (UQAC). Farzaneh, who receive a Doctor d'Etat in 1986, has taught more than 100 undergraduate and graduate course sessions in electric power engineering. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, IET, and Engineering Institute of Canada.

Shahab Farokhi, Ph.D., received his PhD in 2010. He has taught graduate-level courses in Advanced Power Network Transmission and Operating and Power System Analysis at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC). He joined the faculty of Glasgow Caledonian University in 2012.

William A. Chisholm, Ph.D., received a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He has co-supervised more than ten graduate students and delivered industrial training and graduate courses on weather effects on overhead lines. Dr. Chisholm is Secretary of the IEEE Transmission and Distribution Committee and contributes a column to INMR, a quarterly technical magazine for the electrical industry.

Just another William Stevenson book copycat

The book is very basic and the line design part is not really covered in any way. The topics discussed can be found in any introductory power system book. No software implementation is considered for any of the topics covered within the book. Power system book by Hadi Saadat maybe a better option.

Good text with lots of info, not same as 9th edition!

The text is rich with information, applications, examples and links to other sources of information. The format reminds me a bit of the colorful and text-box-based layout of K-12 texts. The early chapters are rich with research results, and there is information from studies as recent as the last couple of years. However, I bought this edition, thinking that it would be more or less the same as the ninth. A few chapters are rearranged in this edition, though as best as I can tell, the content is the same. Though my text is being used in graduate school, it seems a bit more appropriate for undergraduate studies.

I normally buy new books, so this is a new venture for me. This book arrived fairly quickly and I really appreciate that. However, it does bother me that there are highlights and dog-eared pages. This worries me because I don't want to be charged for something I did not do. I've never been one to highlight a book so I really don't like receiving a book that has so many. I do understand that comes along with the decision to rent a book but I was hoping for a newer one. This is the second time I've had to have this book for a different class so I did not feel like buying it again. I chose to rent it. I do not regret it but I doubt I will ever rent a book again. The book is an easy read for the most part.

I highly recommend this textbook. I am taking Educational Psychology and this has helped and reinforced concepts I have studied in Child Development and General Psychology.

Up to date information - easy to read and understand.

Outlined nicely. Will use throughout school as a reference guide.
